Photos taken with digital devices usually contain location information and other sensitive metadata (e.g. the time the photo was taken and the specs of your device). In MIUI 14, you can choose to remove this information when you share photos from Gallery or File Manager.

3.2.2 Protective Watermark

Protect your sensitive personal data on any photos

MIUI's Protective Watermark feature helps prevent counterfeiting and forgery of important images. With this feature, you can quickly add a textual watermark on the camera's frame or on any photos. When watermarking your photos in Gallery, the original photos will not be changed. Once the watermarking is finished, a new copy will be generated.

To access this feature, you may enter the Document Mode in Camera or go to Mi Gallery.
