4.8 Mi Video
4.8.1 Introduction
Mi Video provides users with an easy way to watch videos on their smartphones. Mi Video provides both local video management and online video services, allowing users to freely search, watch, comment, and share online videos within the app.
Mi Video prioritizes user privacy by minimizing the data required to provide and optimize services and offering multiple features to manage and protect personal data.
Mi Video is available in all markets, except for India.

4.8.3 Data Collection and Usage
1) Local Video File Management
Mi Video offers fundamental functions for managing local video files. When exclusively using these local functions, we collect only the analytical data described in section 5) Analytics, while the viewing history for local videos is stored locally on the device.
2) Trending and Video
When watching online videos and TV shows on Mi Video, we collect your country or region settings, network type, and device and system specifications to offer appropriate video content.
You can interact with videos by clicking the "Like" icon, publishing comments, and subscribing to channels. Mi Video also collects your video usage data to allow you to review your viewing history.
Please note that if you are in Russia, the data collected through this feature may be utilized to provide personalized video recommendations.
3) Video Search
Mi Video collects your search keywords to offer personalized video recommendations and provide a search history function. We analyze these keywords to suggest relevant and popular videos for your viewing pleasure.
4) Online Videos Provided by Third Parties
Mi Video partners with third party content providers, such as YouTube, Mango TV and VK, to offer users a wide range of short videos, shows, and movies. We do not sell any personal information to these providers.

5) Analytics
Analytical data assists in identifying app issues and enhancing the user experience. Data collection for analysis purposes is controlled by our MIUI User Experience Program. Mi Video collects the network type, locale and region settings, and certain product interaction data within the app, such as the number of clicks on each module and page exposure for analysis and improvement purposes.
Mi Video may collect crash data to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the app, as well as to make improvements to the user experience.
6) Advertising

4.8.4 Manage Your Privacy
1) Access, Download, or Delete User Data in Mi Video
You can request to access, download, or delete the data in Mi Video by accessing the Privacy Center in Mi Account or by contacting us via Xiaomi Privacy Support.
2) Withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent in Mi Video settings. Go to Mi Video > Settings, and click the "Withdrawal of Consent" option.
The collection of data by Mi Video will cease and any data that has been stored locally and in the cloud will be deleted once the consent is withdrawn.
3) Manage Personalized Recommendations
You can manage personalized recommendation services. Go to Mi Video > Settings, and then disable or enable the ‘Personalized Recommendation’ option.
4) Manage Data Collection for Analysis Purposes
You can allow or stop the data collection for analysis purposes in Themes. Go to Settings > Password & Security > Privacy > User Experience Program, and adjust the "Enroll in User Experience Program" option.
5) Manage Personalized Ads
Personalized ads in this application are managed by the "Personalized Ads" option in the system settings. For details, refer to 4.13 Advertisement.
